工程特点及概况：
万里示范居住区是上海市政府为推动住宅建设整体水平的提高而确定的四大住宅建设跨世纪居住区之一，位于普陀区的西北部，东起交暨路、南沿交通路，西起真南路、真北路，北至桃浦镇金光村等村界，规划总用地216公顷，总建筑面积2470000平方米.
万里示范居住区规划结构完整有致，五纵一横六根绿轴将整个居住区的建筑群落有机地整合成一个环境宜人的高尚住宅区，体现了"人，诗意地居住"这一意境；各住宅组团在规整划一的地块中，着墨于营造和谐丰富的空间气氛，寓变化于统一之中，组团空间设计手法不断变换，以增强性格特征和地域归属意识，立面设计崇尚欧陆风格，融汇海派建筑艺术，细部丰满，平易近人，体现上海这个融汇中外、纵贯古今的国际性大都市特有的魅力；住宅单体设计强调功能合理，平面流畅，建筑层次富于变化，多层与小高层住宅错落布局，尽可能提高土地的使用效率，顺应市场需要，提高居住品质。
绿化轴设计上大胆吸收法式风格，尤其主轴表现了撼人的气势，恢宏非凡，合理布置各种休闲性功能设施，同时不同绿轴在不同区各自强化一个主题，彼此独树一帜，又通过人流活动贯通为一整体，满足不同人群的功能需求，提高使用频率。
As one of the four major residential quarters constructed by Shanghai Municipal Government to promote the overall residential construction level, Wanli City exemplar residential quarter is located at northwest side of Putuo District, from Jiaoyi Road in the east, along Jiaotong Road in the south, adjacent to Zhennan Road & Zhenbei Road, and close to the boundary of Jinguang Village in Taopu Town. The planned total land area is 216 hectares and the total floor area is 2,470,000m2.
Wanli City has complete and orderly planning structure, and the five longitudinal and one horizontal green axes organically integrate the complex buildings in the whole quarter into a hospitable residential district, which shows the artistic conception of “poetic human living’s with unification, alternate design means continuously and enhance the regional characteristics. The facade design advocates European style, blends Shanghai architectural art, creates full details easy to approach, shows the specific charm of the international metropolis of Shanghai; the unit building design emphasizes the reasonable function, clear layout, changeful architectural levels and staggered multistory houses, increases the land service efficiency as much as possible, conforms to market demand and improves residential quality.
The design of the green axis absorbs French style and reasonably arranges various functional recreation facilities, especially the major axis shows magnificent vigor, at the same time, different green axes respectively enhance a subject in different zones which are independent from each other and interpenetrated as a whole through pedestrian flow so as to meet the functional requirements of different crowds and improve the frequency of use.
